Last time, we left the Lawsons, Britannicus and Castor had just had many, many children in quick succession. Well... five.
We start this episode with a confetti explosion as Caitlen grows into a teen. She rolls Popularity, and her lifetime want is to become an Icon. Definitely do-able. Her turn-ons are fit people and underwear, while her turn-off is hats.
She's pretty! Apart from her hair colour, she looks a lot like Amelie.
Soon afterwards, Christopher
He still looks a lot like Claudius. Here's hoping that they both grow into those eyes.
Okay, that's just creepy. Claudius is apparently in love with a much older man whom he's never met. WTF?
Christopher fails at muffin making.
The Ecological Guru "uniform" is fantastic.
Time for the twins to become toddlers. Celeste goes first.
She's ridiculously cute.
In which I demonstrate that I have bizarre priorities. But the other cars are so uuuuuggggly!
Caitlen brings this girl home. She's pretty cute underneath all that makeup. Definitely worth befriending.
Mary is obsessed with Birdbrain.
It amuses the hell out of me when kids get this emo over a B+.
Okay, at this point I changed my default eyes
Caitlen is really a lot like Amelie *g*
Sigh. Knowledge Sims are so predictable.
Caitlen gossips about her aunt to cute-girl. I'm not sure she's even met Bethany.
The family gets themselves a greenhouse and start a proper garden.
Birthday time for Claudius!
Haha, nice outfit, Claud. Oh well, at least it suggests he'll be fine with this being a same-sex legacy. He rolls Family, with the lifetime want of raising twenty puppies or kittens. Um... hell no. If you're heir, Claudius, you're re-rolling during College. His turn-ons are hats and blond hair, while his turn-off is brown hair.
I sent him downtown to buy himself some decent clothing and guess who was there. It looks like the blue-eyed kids do have their grandmother's dark blue eyes.
Claudius meets his grandmother for the first time. They get along nicely.
Post make-over, he's pretty much gorgeous. THANK YOU CASTOR.
Birthday time again for the twins.
Charlotte is really beginning to remind me of Bree, hair-colour aside.
She's absolutely adorable :)
With the twins all grown up, the family is short a bed. Caitlen isn't going to be heir, so she heads off to college to join the Dorm Of Non-Heirs
Amelie isn't playing favourites at all *g*
I got a birdseed glitch. Is it just me, or does the seed look more like candied popcorn?
Claudius is a great Family Sim. He's very good with his younger siblings.
First talent badge of the Legacy!
Claudius brings this girl home. I actually remember her name! It's Kenya. Now, I went to a private school myself and there is no way in hell I would have ever gotten away with that makeup.
Yup, still cute. We get it.
Claudius gives her a make-over and she's actually quite pretty underneath all that gunk. Another name to remember.
Someone rolled the want to get the kids into private school, so Castor invited the headmaster to pay a visit. He demonstrates that etiquette is not on the school curriculum.
The kids got into the school, by the way. Now that the house is decent, it was pretty easy.
Claudius then brought this chap home from school. Not Legacy material, but he'll do for the first kiss that Claudius has been wanting.
Ah, that's better. Shy Sims are a lot of work.
Claudius moves in for the kill...
Meanwhile, Castor freezes on the front lawn.
I finally managed to nab a shot of Britannicus heading off for work.
With the garden extended, the family decides to hire a gardener. He's actually pretty attractive. Good back-up material for future male heirs, anyway.
THAT'S NOT GARDENING.
Failed-kiss-boy is apparently a fickle little so-and-so.
Claudius should've been a Romance Sim. He does this every time I tell him to do anything involving romance.
STILL NOT GARDENING. Seriously, Amelie had to influence the bloke to garden. It must've been a glitch, because he was fine after the first day.
Christopher gets fat and grows up.
As a teen, it becomes clear that he's basically a Castor-clone with Brit's hair and Abbey's eyes. He rolls Knowledge and the lifetime want to reach the top of the Gamer career. So yes. Castor clone. His turn-ons are cologne and glasses, while his turn-off is hats.
Castor makes it to the top of the Gamer career path and achieves his lifetime want. Yay Castor.
Uh-oh, are the teens in trouble?
Nope! I got sick of the constant GET A KITTEN GET A PUPPY GET A KITTEN OR PUPPY wants and had the family adopt a kitten. His name is Catterick.
Brit applied for membership to the Garden Club. Although he got in, the garden wasn't up to wishing-well standard yet. He did, however, discover that their garden club contact needed to get into the Legacy at some point down the track.
D: D: D: D: D: Goodbye, Mary. You were a fantastic founder-spouse.
The boys are distraught...
...and the first tombstone takes its place in the family graveyard.
Britannicus doesn't have the memory of Mary dying for some reason. He still inherited, though.
Unlike Claudius. Apparently he's the black sheep of the family, given that he's the only one of the kids not to get anything.
Proving once again that I have odd priorities, I buy a pool slide with part of the inheritance money.
Christopher isn't going to be heir, so he heads off to college. He's cool, but he's just too much of a Castor-clone.
Speaking of Castor, he manages to get himself hit by lightning while taking out the trash.
Sigh. Knowledge Sims are weird.
The twins grow up!
Celeste manages to age into a decent outfit. She clearly wins.
Charlotte is not as lucky *g*
She's a lot like Bree. She rolls Family, with bathers and full-face makeup as turn-ons and glasses as her turn-off. Her lifetime want is the marry off six kids.
Celeste is gorgeous. She rolls Wealth, with the lifetime want to become a Criminal Mastermind. Her turn-ons are hats and brown hair, while her turn-off is cologne.
Soon afterwards, Charlotte heads off to college. I like her, but her one neat point was driving me insane.
With Mary gone, Amelie was feeling lonely, so I thought it was time to move Abbey in. She and Mary had never actually fallen out of love, so they pick up right where they left off.
After a makeover, it's much easier to see how pretty she is.
This is what Abbey had in her inventory. Brilliant, huh?
Catterick grows up! He's cute.
Second life-time want! I think Brit deserves to primp a little.
Castor catches his arse on fire. That takes talent, you know.
Celeste brings this guy home from school... and says goodbye straight away. Because no.
Claudius, however, brings home this chap. Not bad.
He really should've been a Romance Sim.
Abbey rolls the want to get engaged to Amelie, so I let her.
Then she rolls the want to marry her, so I oblige with a quick kitchen wedding. At 78 Sim-days, Amelie doesn't really have time for a long engagement.
The wedding over, the final two childen head off to college. Celeste does so in her nightie.
With the heir chosen, it's time to see how all the other children grew up.
Claudius! Which makes our heir...
Next update – college and romance... I hope.
